Joanne Hansen has extensive musical experience both in the United States and abroad. She was the principal harpist of the Orquesta Filarmonica de Bogota, Colombia and principal harpist of the Sinfonica Nacional de Panama.

Ms. Hansen has appeared with the Connecticut Grand Opera, American Wind Symphony and New Jersey Pops among others. She has also performed with New York City Opera National Company, Key West Symphony and in various music festivals including Glimmerglass Opera Festival, the Spoleto Festival, Festival Musical de Santo Domingo, International Festival of Dance-Santiago de Cali and Arizona Opera Festival.

She was principal harpist for the United States tour of The Choir of The Pope’s Diocese.

Ms. Hansen has enjoyed performing with artists such as Sylvia McNair, Jose Feliciano, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra Jr. and scat singer Betty Carter.

Ms. Hansen holds a Master of Music in Harp Performance from the Indiana University School of Music.
