Bob's Virtual Piano Bar
The Format
Beginning in May 2020, Bob Egan began hosting an online show, “Bob Egan & Friends Virtual Piano Bar,” along with co-host and co-producer, Michael Traupman, and production headed by Christian Hawkins. The show is a unique singer’s showcase where Bob accompanies all the singers with a variety of styles ranging from Pop, Broadway, Classic Rock, Great American Songbook, Country and more! The weekly shows are a mix of variety nights, along with various themes – i.e. tributes to a particular songwriter, eras, or genres of music.
Now in its 6th year (and February 2026 marks show #300), “Bob Egan & Friends” continues online every the first and third Wednesday of every month from 8pm-9pm on Facebook Live (under “Bob Egan” or “Bob Egan Entertainment” or and YouTube LIVE! ** Search ‘Bob Egan Live’. On YouTube – you can always watch the show, even if you miss it while it’s live.
We continue to showcase both familiar faces AND feature new talent each show.
How It All Got Started
The VPB History
When Covid hit in March 2020 – Bob’s live performances came to a screeching halt. Fortunately, Bob’s friend, Jon Richardson, a wonderful singer/pianist in his own right, began doing shows on line and started the ‘The Virtual Piano Bar’ Network. Jon invited Bob to become a part of it, and Bob created a unique format for his shows.

How Can I Appear On The Show?
Easy – just ask. Send an email to bob@bobeganentertainment.com and with a list of your favorite and best songs, along with any links, video or audio.
You can appear on the show three different ways:
- Come sing live in the New Hope, PA Studio
- Record virtually – where Bob sends you the piano track and you make your own video from your own home. Bob sends instructions too, on ‘how to do it’
- Come into the studio to do a live GREEN SCREEN shoot, where Bob plays for you, and we record the video for you and do the digital background for it.
