Phone: 732-774-1155	Thursday, September 2 - 8:00 PM at Tim McLoone's Supper Club Sharon McNight $20.00 Cover Charge Versatile singer, comedian, actress, Sharon McNight received a Tony Award nomination as "Best Leading Actress in a Musical" for her performance in “Starmites” for which she also received a Theatre World Award. She has six solo recordings to her credit. The most recent is "Offensive Too, Volume Two" which is the second CD of "Songs To Offend Almost Everyone", a throwback to the party records of the 50's. In contrast is "The Sophie Tucker Songbook", which contains the music of the one- woman show based the show business legend. She has played from the Moose Hall to Carnegie Hall, from Los Angeles to Berlin. She has won six San Francisco Cabaret Gold awards, 3 Cable Car Awards, a MAC award, a Bistro award, and received a Nightlife award from New York's critics for her Best Musical Comedy show, "Ladies Compose Yourselves!" Her eclectic repertory ranges from blues to country to good old fashioned entertainment. The Los Angeles Times called her "one of the great wonders of the musical stage."

Roque discusses the theory of age being just a number and through his own life's experience will explore this theory. From kids and family to work, women and living life healthy, Roque talks about the " 50 being the new 30" and the many funny ways it effects his life with his unique style of humor. Roque has appeared in the Poconos, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and several Philadelphia comedy clubs along with many private events throughout the area.

Celebrating its 5th anniversary this fall, the show made its debut at the legendary Cabaret at Odette’s in 2005; Karen has since performed “Sex & the Single Singer” to sold-out audiences around the region. The show changes each time, so expect lots of new laughs and surprises at this show! This is a great show for groups, couples, singles, girls night out, and more! What is a "Cabaret" Show?

A Cabaret performance is usually one-hour long. Shows offer quite a wide variety of musical styles, genres, and vary with each performer. An evening could include anything from Broadway, The Great ASharonMmerican Songbook (Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin), pop, blues, jazz, folk, musical comedy, to even opera or classical.

To make it convenient for patrons, the restaurant offers food both prior to and after the show, similar to a "dinner theatre" or "supper club". Guests may also enjoy cocktails, coffee and desserts during the show.

In December of 2003, at Odette's, Bob began "The Big Monday Showcase," an exciting evening that features seven to nine different performers each week, each performing two songs. Since then, Bob has adapted the format to fit the venue. Currently, Bob offers two monthly showcase nights -- one at The Stockton Inn in Stocketon, NJ (for Western NJ and Eastern PA) and the other at Tim McLoone's Supper Club on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ (for Central Jersey and the Jersey Shore). The shows allo for a wide range of music and musical styles. Occasionally, the show includes other types of performances including singer/songwriters on either guitar or piano or specialty acts. Some performers may be professionals, promoting their upcoming performances in the area or trying out new material, Other performers may be quite new to the Cabaret, appearing on that stage for the first time as they work their way up to their own solo show.

One of the best ways to secure a spot in an upcoming showcase (in either Stockton or Asbury Park) is to sing at one of Bob Egan's open mic nights (click here), or by sending a CD/DVD or web site demo. You also can email Bob at bob@bobeganentertainment.com to request a spot in the show. Space is limited and with a switch to a once-a-month format, Bob may sometimes ask individual performers to prepare only one song in a given showcase. Due to the extreme popularity of some performers, some individuals may be asked to perform additional numbers. Bob reserves the right to use his discretion in programming each month at both venues.

Bob is always happy to accompany you on the piano, but if you already have an accompanist, you are encouraged to bring him/her along. We also suggest that you attend a showcase first, to get the feel of the format. Bob also offers coaching sessions in his studio at $50 per hour.
